Each player should have a pair of baseball cleats.
Cleats are not required at the beginning house levels, but strongly suggested.

At younger ages, a used pair of cleats will work just fine as they grow out of a pair each year.   Shop your local used sporting goods stores or online options.  Players  will wear molded plastic cleats until they are 13 years old.   At age 13 and above, they are allowed (but not mandated) to wear metal cleats.  Most kids in Elk River buy black, red, or white colored cleats.
