National League is our introductory Kid Pitch League for kids 1st Grade – 3rd Grade.    

This league is a modified kid pitch league focusing on fundamentals, and preparing kids to play advanced kid pitch.

National League practices once a week and plays one game per week. Practices and games are on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Games start early May and run through end of June.

There is also a Mid Season Jamboree and an End of the Year Tournament.

Volunteer Checks of $250 are to be submitted at tryouts/evaluations. For players in 1st Grade, please mail checks prior to May 1st to:

Each player is required to submit a volunteer check prior to the first Practice. Please add American/National  & child name to the memo line on your check.

All kids who register who are 2nd grade through 4th grade get to attend tryouts at the new Elk River Multipurpose facility. This gives this group of kids a chance to be evaluated by professional evaluators and coaches alongside our traveling kids. 

Kids that are in 1st grade can chose to be in the Minors or National League. Tryouts are not required for 1st grade kids.

These tryout scores will be used to help split up the kids that will be playing in our National and American leagues. Our goal is to have teams that are similar in talent so that we can all have a fun and competitive season.

Tryouts will be held March 20-21. Details on time will be sent out the week before the tryouts.

If you cannot attend tryouts, you must contact the league commissioner.  Click here to do so. If you are not able to attend, you will be asked to come in to the Elk River Baseball Facility for an evaluation prior to the team draft.

Teams are provided with catcher's gear, baseballs, and equipment bag.

Players will receive an Elk River hat and jersey. 

Players will need to have their own glove, bat, helmet. Baseball pants and cleats are recommended, but not required.
